The reserve is within walking distance of both Barnard Castle and Startforth, a village across the river. There is a car park located near to the main gate beside Deepdale Bridge.
High Force Waterfall- Located in upper-Teesdale is the breath-taking High Force Waterfall. This is a point where the River Tees drops 21 metres into a plunge pool below. It’s a sight you will never forget. It really is a natural phenomenon like no other. Artists, photographers and nature enthusiast travel from all around the country to see this unforgettable sight.
